Overview

Safe Fukushima is an application to relief Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant disaster. The application will show information of food quality such as radiation level, place of origin, expiry date, etc as well as the grocery’s safety based on the radiation exposure and providing delivery service as well.

Main Functions

  • Four Different Menu Icons: Profile, Cart, Map, and Scanning
  • The App Provides Search Function for Products / Categorized Menu
  • Menu Icon on the Top Left Corner Navigates Users to Move to Profile Shopping Cart, Map and Scanner
  • The app provides all information related to radiation and the product
  • Detailed Description of I-131 referred from Stanford University pops-up when (i) information above I-131 level is pressed

Alerted residents who are living within 20km from Fukushima Daiichi power station to stay inside the house
Published the guideline of potassium pills to help people who are exposed to radiation

How often does the app update information on the quality of food and stores
Does not show how many products are left in stores

Opportunities

Keep updating the app to make users feel relieved
Show detailed information on delivery route, delivery man’s info, processing time, etc.
Add an option that finds the nearest store based on users’ address
